At Stillpoint Acupuncture and Healing Arts, we believe healing is strengthened through community, connection, and meaningful action. As part of that commitment, we are honored to feature Trek For Vets — a veteran-led initiative dedicated to supporting military veterans and their families through shared experiences, conversation, and purpose.

The Story Behind Trek For Vets

Trek For Vets was founded to address a critical need within the veteran community: connection. Many veterans face isolation, mental health challenges, and difficulty transitioning back into civilian life. Trek For Vets creates opportunities for veterans to come together, walk alongside one another, and build lasting bonds.

In 2025, U.S. Reconnaissance Marine veteran Lawrence Miller completed a 200-mile walk across Michigan, traveling from St. Joseph to Royal Oak. His trek was both a physical and symbolic journey — raising awareness for veteran mental health and community support, while encouraging open conversation around struggle, resilience, and healing. Each mile represented a commitment to ensuring veterans are not walking their paths alone.

Trek For Vets continues this mission by fostering community-based initiatives that emphasize presence, shared experience, and support for veterans and their families.

Connection to Stillpoint

Stillpoint Acupuncture & Healing Arts regularly works with veterans seeking support for pain, stress, trauma, and nervous system regulation. The mission of Trek For Vets aligns naturally with our belief that healing is not only physical, but also relational and communal. Lawrence’s story and dedication reflect values we deeply respect — perseverance, service, and the importance of showing up for one another.

Support Through Trek For Vets Coffee

Another meaningful way to contribute is by purchasing Trek For Vets Coffee. This locally roasted, 100% Arabica coffee was created to directly support the Trek For Vets mission. A portion of every purchase goes toward programs that serve veterans and their families, helping fund community initiatives and outreach efforts. 20% of the net profit generated by each bag of Trek For Vets Coffee is allocated to a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting veterans.
